Karen has taught collective creation, improvisation, acting, musical theatre, dance, stage combat, directing, and playwriting in diverse populations across the globe. She has facilitated theatre with PERFORM students, preschoolers, judges and lawyers, and everyone in between, in her own neighbourhood and all the way to the Fijian Islands. Over the last twenty years Karen has facilitated hundreds of interactive theatre workshop of varying themes. She has studied stage violence with the Rapier Wit Studio in Toronto, Fight Directors Canada, and Fight Master Robert Seale, improvisation with the Irondale Ensemble Project, dance with a variety of teachers, and has a honours degree in Performance from Dalhousie University. Karen is a professional actor who has performed on three continents. She is a proud member of the Playwright’s Atlantic Resource Centre, ACTRA, CAEA and Theatre Nova Scotia.
