Véronique comes from an eclectic artistic background having trained in Canada, the U.S. and England. She has studied ballet, jazz, modern dance, visual art, clowning, Fool-work, creative movement and theatre from which she has developed a unique performance and teaching style. Veronique is a core member of Halifax Dance, teaching modern technique, creative movement as well as composition. She also teaches for the Dalhousie Theatre Department, NSCAD University, PERFORM NS, and Neptune Theatre School. Veronique has also taught workshops across the province working with non-dancers of all ages, helping them to realize their movement potential. A recipient of one of Nova Scotia’s prestigious Established Artist Awards, Véronique continues to create and perform across the country. This past season has included a creative residency at the Banff Centre for the Arts, the making of her first film, “She Wakes up Gasping”, a multi-media production “Motion Activated” and her current project, “Storm Dances”, a piece about performing outside in significant weather events.
