Apply for a PERFORM! Activity
Helpful hints before filling out online application below:
Booking a workshop and a performance? Two separate applications are required for workshops AND performances with the same artist.
More than one artist on the same day? If you are requesting multiple workshops with a variety of artists on the same day, each different artist and/or specialty requires a separate application.
Are there subsidies available? All workshop fees are subsidized by PERFORM at a rate of 40%. So the $50 per hour artist fee costs the school only $30 per hour, per artist until subsidies run out. PERFORM activities are still available to be booked after subsidies run out but the school must then be able to absorb the full cost of the activity.
Please Note: Additional subsidies are available if the school requires further assistance. Contact the PERFORM Coordinator at coordinator[at]performns.ca to make arrangements. We do not want any school to miss out due to financial considerations. We will help you find a way to make it happen!
What if the artist has to travel a long distance to get to my school? All travel and accommodation fees are covered by PERFORM!
Is there a deadline for applications? Applications considered on a first come, first served basis.
How far in advance of my activity should I apply? Applying at least one month in advance of activity is recommended. Once approved, it can take up to two weeks for approval and then scheduling requires planning with the Artist. Even if your activity is planned for late in the school year, you should apply as soon as possible to ensure you can receive funding support before subsidies run out.
How and when do I pay? Once approved, you will receive an invoice for the cost of your activity. You can pay by cheque or credit card. Your activity is not considered confirmed until payment is received.
