Francine is a physical theatre performer, music maker, educator and Applied Theatre artist recently returned to her home province of Nova Scotia. She has been a facilitating artist for over a decade, applying drama to the teaching and exploration of language (French and English), music, social studies, eco-systems, computer coding, and body image/gender.

Francine has created, performed and worked with communities across North America, Korea and the UK/Europe. Whether in the classroom, the park, the boardroom, a 13th century monastery or a theatre, her aim is to co-create safe spaces of playful learning. She is a member of THAT! ensemble, a London UK based improv group that uses dance, theatre and movement to compose live vocal music. She is also the co-founder and co-artistic director of Blooming Ludus – a participatory theatre company that explores our connection to the planet – while BAGEL+BALLOON, her artistic collaboration with husband and game designer Kai Oliver, creates and researches the interactive potential between games, physical theatre and technology.

Students in her sessions will develop their individual strengths through relationships with the group as a whole, building self-confidence, artistic skill and communication.
